A brand new consultation center named “New in Iceland” was opened by the Minister of Social Affairs February 12. The aim of the center is to provide better and more targeted advice to immigrants as well as to provide more accessible advice, guidance and information for immigrants on essential services, their rights and obligations. The organization works in close cooperation with all the main state and city based institutions dealing with various aspects of immigration.

All services are free of charge and confidential and can be provided in eight different languages.

Joanna Marcinkowska is the Director of New Iceland.
